OMFG

Thanks to my workmate, Timesuck, I’ve discovered Caninus, the vegan, dog-fronted grindcore band. Yes, you read that correctly: a dog is the frontman for the band. Here’s them covering Agnostic Front in possibly the greatest music video of all time:

Why record companies are going out of business

I just dug these photos up. They were from Christmas and the CDs were on sale. But $18.99 regular price? Do you know what CDs cost in 1986 when I got my first player? $18.99. mamas don't let your babies grow up to be billy bob

Heard part of this interview on the radio. Didn’t really do justice to the whole experience. On the radio, he just sounded like an asshole. On video Billy Bob Thornton’s addled expression, distance from his band and refusal to perform with his bandmates really adds context to the whole debacle. What an arrogant douche. Kudos to QTV for sticking this on YouTube.

that metal show

Just watched the dudes of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show debate the question “Which album was meaner: Pantera’s Vulgar Display of Power or Slayer’s Reign in Blood?” with Gary and Nuno of Extreme.

That’s like debating cuts of steak with two vegetarians. Who drink wine coolers. And play funk metal.
