Like many Southern California residents travelling to ComicCon, I spent the majority of the day stuck in traffic on the 5. The handy iPhone app NewsLocal told me a big rig had rolled over near Camp Pendleton and started a brush fire but there was nothing I could do to avoid the backup.

When I finally arrived I had time to get my badge and my swag bag and do a quick reconnoiter of the main hall. I ran into a friend from LA who’d been on the road since 9:30am. Ridiculous.

Not sure what my plans are for tomorrow yet. Below you’ll see the traffic, the snack I’d brought for the car, and some crowd scenes.
